“Do you take my insurance? Do you offer sliding scale fees?”

Great news! Root Awakenings is credentialed with most insurance plans. To make this process smooth, we have collaborated with a payment app that connects with your insurance. This way, you will be charged accurately based on your benefits. To provide the highest standard of care to all of our clients we offer our services at a set rate. Therapy is an investment of you time, money and energy, and you deserve the best possible experience in return. By keeping the focus on your treatment, rather than financial negotiations we can make the most of your investment. Please see services page for more information

“What is the purpose of a consultation call?”

A consultation call is an opportunity to get to know your therapist, and ensure that you and the therapist are a good fit for one another. During a consultation call you will be able to discuss your goals for therapy, as well as get any questions you have answered. Upon mutually deciding that the relationship is a positive fit, you will be schedule an initial intake session. If for any reason you or the therapist don’t believe that working together is the best fit for you, we will provide you with specific referrals based on the goals you identified.

“What can I expect during the first session?”

The first session is designed to get to know each other. This session also includes a comprehensive assessment designed to gain insight to her your personal history, present concerns, and what you are hoping to get out of the therapeutic process. This session is typically 90 minutes long.

“What is Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)?”

KAP combines the therapeutic potential of ketamine with the support of psychotherapy. In a structured and safe environment, ketamine can help soften defenses, deepen emotional insight, and allow new healing pathways to emerge. Therapy is woven throughout the process, from preparation to integration, supporting lasting change.

“Who might benefit from KAP?”

KAP may be helpful for adults experiencing treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, complex trauma, anxiety related to terminal illness, bipolar depression, certain eating disorders, insomnia, and more. It can also be supportive for individuals who feel stuck despite previous therapeutic work.

“What does a typical KAP journey look like?”

A typical KAP process includes:

  • Preparation sessions to build trust, set intentions, and create safety

  • Medicine sessions (6 sessions within two- three weeks) where ketamine is administered in a supported environment

  • Integration sessions to process insights and weave changes into daily life

“Do you accept insurance for KAP?”

At this time, KAP services are private pay. Some clients choose to submit superbills to their insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement. We are happy to provide documentation if needed.
